Step By Step Summer Smokey Bronze Eye Makeup Tutorial

Summer Smokey Bronze Eye Makeup Tutorial:

My favorite eye makeup look to wear in the summer is a bronzey glowey look which goes along well with the beachy summer sun theme.

This look can easily be made more natural for daytime or more dramatic for an evening night out:
For a more natural daytime appropriate look I would leave out the darker base color and use a little less eyeliner and mascara.
To amp this look up even more for heading out at night with friends or for a special event I would add a little more eyeliner and mascara as well as a pair of false lashes.
This look I've created here is probably just on the border between the two but I would wear it out during the day since I tend to go for bold eyes and a nude lip all the time.

The bronze tones really compliment my brown eyes as well which makes this look even more fun for me!

To create this look I've used these specific products. You can use whatever you have that is similar it will work just as great.

Products Used List:

Smashbox Limitless 24 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadow in the color "stone" (Used in steps 2,3 and 7)
Loreal Infallible Eye Shadow Pigment in the color 890 Bronzed Taupe (Used in steps 4, 5 and 6a)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner Pencil in the color Zero (Used in step 6b)
Nyx Jumbo Pencil in "Milk"  (used in step 8)
Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara in Carbon Black- (for reference I would not recommend this mascara more info on that at a later time.)

Each item is linked with it's website to be purchased or a review that I've written previously here on  the blog.

If you see an item that does not have a review and you would be interested in me putting one up I would happily oblige. Just leave me your request in the comments bar below and I will get to it as soon as possible. Most of these items are products that I like very much so if you don't see a review now there will most likely be one up soon either way.

Brushes Used:

Smashbox Cream Eyeliner/Shadow Brush # 9 - used to apply cream shadow (in steps 2,3 and 7)

Smashbox Brush #7 Large Fluffy Eye Shadow Brush - used to blend out the highlight colors (in step 8)

Upstage Proffessional Flat Shader Brush to apply eye shadow pigment (used in steps 4,5 and 6a)
Mac 217 Blending Brush (Used in step 6a to blend out the crease colors)
Smashbox Brush #20 Double Ended Smudger Liner Brush- the brush side of it was (used in step 7)

I have to once again apologize about my brows. They need to be shaped again. Somehow every time I post a look I am having eyebrow trouble :)

Hope this tutorial will be helpful to you!

Also, a winner has been chosen for my Smashbox eye shadow palette trio giveaway:  Congrats Blima S. (Blima Spetner) I have contacted you on facebook and by email to claim your prize. Please get back to me as soon as possible. To everyone who entered I very much appreciate that! More giveaways coming very soon both here and on my facebook page so check back for that soon!

On an entirely different, more time appropriate note, I did consider dedicating a whole post to Tishaa Baav- the 9th of Av- a fast day for Jewish people around the world. One full of inspiration on what the day is really about or tips for fasting easily etc. I just couldn't think of the perfect words. I have linked to some posts here from both the "Fabologist" at fabologie.com for some pre- fast food tips and Aish.com with a beautiful message from Charlie Harary on the background of Tishaa Baav. I couldn't have said it any better! In that light, have an easy meaningful fast and a wonderful Shabbos!

Thanks for stopping in!

Gigi.
